New Years Day Property Damage to Hillcrest Resident

The Sheriff's Office received a call about a loud party in the Hillcrest subdivision on Missouri Rt K just outside of Cape Girardeau last night.  Sheriff's Deputies responded and asked the partiers to turn down the music.  The partiers complied and turned it down.  Today the neighbors call the Sheriff's Office and reported that their house had been spray painted with Racial slurs and other words as well as their car had been scratched all over with sandpaper and a substance believed to have been poured into the gas tank of their automobile.

One person Darrel Nice age 49 of Hillcrest subdivision was arrested today after the investigation revealed he was a suspect.  Nice was charged in a formal warrant today by the Prosecutors Office with (1) Count of the Class D Felony of Property Damage in the First Degree and his bond was set at $15,000.00 Cash Only.  He remains incarcerated at the Cape Girardeau County Justice Center.
