On Thursday and Friday, April 21 and 22, 2011 Sheriff's Deputies and Officers with the Jackson Police Department arrested three persons for Fraudulently Using a Stolen Credit Device at local businesses in Cape Girardeau County and Perry County Missouri. The suspects purchased approximately $2500.00 dollars in merchandise all together from the businesses. The spending spree started in the early morning hours of Tuesday, April 19, 2011.
Only one person has been formerly charged at this time and he is identified as
John W. Dillard
19 Years of Age
Cape Girardeau, Missouri
He is charged with one count of a Class D Felony for Fraudulently Using a Stolen Credit Device.
His bond has been set at $10,000.00 Cash Only. Dillard and the other two persons all remain in custody at the Cape Girardeau County Justice Center.
The filing of formal charges are pending on the other two persons at this time.
Additional arrests are expected in this case and a significant amount of the stolen items purchased has been recovered. Officers are still investigating this case and further information may follow.
The charge of an offense is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
