On Thursday, January 28, 2011 Sheriff's Deputies served
JERIEL MALACHI BROOKS
19 Years of age
318 Main Delta, Missouri
with an arrest warrant for the Class C Felony of Arson in the Second Degree, the Class C Felony of Burglary and the Class C Felony of Stealing in reference to the Delta School Fire Investigation.
The Delta School was Burglarized and set on fire on August 13, 2010. Sheriff's Deputies arrested Brooks Wednesday evening for another Burglary and served a search warrant at his residence.
Thursday evening the Investigation revealed Brooks to be responsible for the School Fire and Burglary.
He was formally charged today in a warrant and a Bond was set at $100,000.00 cash or surety.
Brooks is in custody of the Cape Girardeau County Justice Center .
The charge of an offense is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
