On Wednesday, December 8, 2021, Deputies

were dispatched to a residence around the

500 block of County Road 458, located in

Cape Girardeau County, for a report of a

burglary. It was learned during contact with

the victim that numerous items of value

were taken from the residence and an

investigation into who committed this burglary

 and stealing began.

During a follow up on a lead our detectives

interviewed and obtained a confession from

a suspect of the burglary and stealing.

 Subsequently while contacting the suspect,

it was learned that he was also in possession

of a brand-new truck that was stolen off a

 dealership lot.

After completing this investigation, a probable

cause affidavit was sent to the Prosecuting

Attorneys Office. A short time later a warrant

was issued by the Courts on the following

 individual for the following crimes.

 Andrew M. Freeman

Count: I - Class B felony of burglary in the

                  first degree.

Count: II - Class D felony of stealing.

This warrant came with a bond of $50,000.

Andrew M. Freeman was issued a second

 warrant for the following

Count I - Class D felony of tampering in

                 the first degree.

This warrant came with a bond of $30,000.

The charge of an offense is merely an

accusation, and the defendant is presumed

innocent until and unless proven guilty.
