New Release - Update on Zero Turn Mower Theft

 Last week we reported to you that on
 January 1st, 2022, deputies responded
 to Oriole St, located in Cape Girardeau
 County, in response to a theft of a
 zero-turn mower.
 
 Through an investigation, the mower
 was recovered in Jackson, Mo. We also
 reported that further charges or arrests
 could come from this case.
 
 Today we report an additional arrest
 stemming from the zero-turn mower theft.
 29-year-old male Alex D Dunlap out of
 Cape Girardeau, Mo, was arrested on
 January 7th, 2022, by deputies from the
 Cape Girardeau County Sheriff's Office.
 
 Subsequently, the Prosecuting Attorney's
 office signed a warrant for the following
 crimes.
 
 Count 1: Class D felony of burglary in
 the second degree
 
 Count 2: Class D felony of stealing
 
 This warrant came with a cash-only bond
 of 15,000.
 
 Dunlap remains incarcerated
 in the Cape Girardeau County Justice Center.
 
 The Charge of an offense is merely an
 accusation and the defendant is presumed
 innocent until and unless proven guilty.
